The Midlands African Chamber, Inc., is excited to launch the inaugural 2025 EGA Pitch Competition - a fast-paced, high-impact opportunity for early stage entrepreneurs to shine! We are proud to collaborate with Afromaha for the 2025 Edition of Ega Pitch, proudly presented by Google.
“Ega” means money in the Mina language of Togo, West Africa - representing prosperity, progress, and purpose.
Held during the 7th Annual AfroFest Omaha - the Midwest’s largest celebration of African and Afro-diasporic cultures - this live pitch event will spotlight innovative, Black-owned businesses, student-led ventures, and emerging founders.
What’s at Stake
Finalists will pitch live on stage for a chance to win a $500 grant, gain exposure to key business leaders and investors, and build lasting connections within a supportive entrepreneurial community. All semi-finalists also will receive guaranteed acceptance into the MAC-Xcelerator Program.
The MAC Xcelerator (MAC-X) is a 12 weeks hybrid enterprise accelerator program designed to strengthen, energize, and support startups and small businesses. Upon completion of the MAC-X program, participants will receive an additional $1,000 award (upon completion), assistance with their business plan and pitch deck, one year of complimentary membership with the Midlands African Chamber, Inc., and access to business mentoring through SCORE during the program.
Five semi-finalists will be selected to pitch at Afrofest in front of the judges in the MAC space. Two finalists will be selected to pitch on the Afrofest stage.
