What a beautiful celebration of Juneteenth today at the NAACP's parade in North Omaha! Juneteenth, also known as Freedom Day, marks the emancipation of the last enslaved African Americans in the United States, commemorating the end of slavery on June 19, 1865. It was heartwarming to see so many of our MAC tribe members come together to commemorate this significant day. We were inspired and moved by the performances from the African Culture Connection and loved seeing so many of of our members The Omaha Star, Omaha Public Power District, Metropolitan Community College, Gamble Tech Firm, 95.7 The BOSS, The Essential Gathering Place, and Home Team Auto Sales Omaha Community Foundation, Black Men United, and so many others represented at the event. #Juneteenth #FreedomDay #NAACP #NorthOmaha #AfricanCultureConnection #MACTribe #Community #Celebration #Emancipation #CulturalHeritage #wepitchblack #Midlandsafricanchamber

This week, the Midlands African Chamber, in collaboration with the Greater Omaha Chamber, and the Association of Burkinabe in Nebraska, hosted a highly productive luncheon in Omaha in honor of the delegation of business officials, bankers, and real estate developers from Burkina Faso led by the Honorable Ambassador, AI, Mr. Hermann Toe. The delegation also visited with the Nebraska Secretary of State Robert Even’s office and discussed trade opportunities with Nebraska businesses. The delegation then met with various business executives and education and community leaders at a luncheon in Lincoln. These events facilitated valuable discussions on real estate development, agriculture, and fintech, and the pharmaceutical industry, fostering new synergies between Nebraska and Burkina Faso businesses. We are excited about the potential collaborations and future projects that will emerge from these connections! We are grateful to all those who facilitated those exchanges and made these events possible. #BusinessNetworking #Nebraska #BurkinaFaso #midlandsafricanchamber #wepitchblack #associationofburkinabeinnebraska #greateromahachamber
