We’re excited to have Malinda Williams and Michael Beverly as guests at our upcoming Power Hour on Thursday, January 19th, at 5:30 pm. The topic for this Power Hour discussion is the “Battle of the Balance Sheets”: Understanding the basics of your personal and business balance sheet.

Malinda Williams is the President and CEO of Omaha 100. She holds Series 7 and 66 financial certifications and life and health insurance licenses in several states. She earned her Executive MBA in organizational leadership from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and a bachelor’s degree in business and public relations from the University of South Carolina. Omaha 100 is a CDFI that is 100% committed to connecting the community to capital. Since 1991 Omaha 100 has made over $78M in loans to hundreds of first-time homeowners in the Omaha area. They are a recipient of SSBCI funding from the state of Nebraska and project to make $10M in small business loans over the next 3years, focusing on job-creating businesses.

Michael Beverly received his bachelor’s degree, majoring in finance, from Creighton University and earned a master’s degree in business administration (MBA) with an emphasis in accounting from Bellevue University. Michael is currently the Chief Financial Officer of Boys & Girls Clubs of the Midlands. Boys & Girls Clubs of the Midlands has served metro area youth for more than 59 years. Currently, they serve over 7,000 children and teens, many of whom are minorities, economically disadvantaged, and live in single-parent households. They minimize risks by engaging young people in activities with positive adult role models and peers.
